Suzi and Lisa Keep on Boppin
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
So...we've been a little busy apartment hunting. But it paid off, I have an apartment! YAY! Everything I wanted...washer and dryer in the apartment, heated underground parking, fitness center, pools, I could go on, but well...you get the idear. I love it. It's in Eden Prairie in a really cute area, very safe feel.
But enough about that...on with what you are really interested in...our goofy adventures. Purchased a sleeper sofa from Ikea and had it delivered today. It's red and fabulous, and I bought a nice comforter so I can sleep on that until I can afford a bed. :) I tell you this, because after it was delivered, we had to try it out. Patio door open to let in fresh air, I bounced onto the mattress, covered myself with the blanket, and yelled to Suzi "get in here it's wonderful!" Just as she was climbing into the bed with me (you can imagine how this looks, right?) the boys working on the pool passed by. Hearing our giggles, they ogled us through the window and I'm sure had many thoughts which they kept to themselves. This only caused us to explode into further fits of laughter. We then decided to head out to the store and so we closed the blinds to keep it cooler. You know what they were thinking, eh?
Off to the Minnesota Zoo! We scored some free passes from the rental office and decided to check it out. It was a really great zoo! We also went late enough in the day, so that all the animals were active. The highlight was the Brown Bears. I don't know how this will come across in written form, but picture this if you will...ahem-
The bears were in a large enclosure, trees, grass, and a large pool area. We were looking at them from behind glass so we could see under the water, which came up to about shoulder level as we were standing. There were three of them and two were fighting-mauling each other toward the back of the pool. Just as we were focusing on them, in comes big brother, apparently straight out of a Barnum and Bailey act. Stick in mouth, he swam the side stroke from one side of the pool to the other. Of course, I immediately began singing circus tunes. You know the ones I mean, doo doo doodoodoodoo doo doo doo... He knew he had us. We could almost hear him saying "Never mind those fools, I'm the one you came to see"... doo doo doodoodoodoo doo doo doo.......Then of course our focus again turned to the "fighting" bears as we quickly realized they might not exactly be fighting after all....yep. For further explanation, please see Suzi upon return for a re-enactment.
That's about the highlight dear readers. Tomorrow is Phantom of the Opera, so stay tuned for pics of us in fabulous evening wear. (Hint: Suzi bought a new dress and I bought new shoes) Doesn't get better than that my friends. Oh, and we are both catching ourselves in the vowel shift I was so desperately hoping to avoid...darn.
Oh, and before we go..some random movie quotes we have picked up: ( in order of frequency)
"Come the fuck on Bridget!" (When one of us is in a hurry and the other is dawdling)
"You sir, are an asshole"...(said in Ferris Bueller type manner, when...well...someone is being an asshole) Suzi tried this out early one morning on the maintenance crew making a lot of noise.
Immediately followed by: "I'd like to have a few words with you by God..." Have we seen this movie too many times?
"Where the fugawee?" Spoken at least 12 times daily
"What the French Toast?!" followed by "What the Fudge Ripple?!" As Suzi does not know the words...
Hmm these may be funny only to us, but we crack up at each of them...enjoy.

Suzi and Lisa Take on the Town
Days Theme Song: Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan/Green Day Cover :)
Today we lazed around all morning, then met Suzi's friend OE (Orren) and his girlfriend Brooke for lunch and they drove us around the towns of Minnesoooota where there are some really cute little towns, but I don't think my people live there. I don't really know where my people are at this point, but we will find them.
We came back to the hotel and Suzi hucked her gum out and made a ricochet shot off of the mirror into the trashcan...it was pretty impressive. Later in the evening, we ventured out on the town. Yes, we got lost once on the way to the piano bar. I don't think the day would be complete without at least one wrong turn. Oh well, we made it and they were doing some scary karaoke (scaraoke?). We met up with Jason and friends, then decided to go downtown. We made it to the boy bar, and danced up a storm, as we tend to do...but were soon the object of affection for what we have decided was a swingin couple...who knows but they sure had a thing for us. :)
Leaving there, we ventured to the Gorilla Bar, only to find some painted naked ladies. We felt a little out of our element, as two gals from Idaho, a little alarmed...but feel confident that we played it off quite well. Now we are back and preparing for tomorrow. No big plans yet, but I am sure we will find something to entertain. :)

Almost Homeless?
Well friends, today we did our first bout of apartment searching. We planned to check out about five places, then headed out with our handy gps device (which we have named Gertie). At first we thought good ole Gert had led us astray, as we pulled up to a medical office building and circled several times as she yelled at us that we had arrived at our destination. We finally wandered in and found that we had actually found the rental office, not the apartment itself. Also, as it turns out, it was the rental office for the ghetto...we thanked the nice woman at the counter before we ran screaming from the building and promptly drove away.
The next place was the only one we actually got to look in, and it was very cute and safe, but also more expensive as it was right downtown. Pretty sure I could become a fab Minneapolis downtowner though and love every minute of it. But, we moved on and drove past a few more before giving up for the day. Next week should be better and we already have one appt. for a viewing.
We ate lunch at the cutest little espresso shop. Oh, I am pausing here as Suzi has interjected to remind me that I flashed some hotel worker boys last night. Let me explain before you think me whore-ish please. I seem to have developed a mysterious bruise on my thigh. On the way to the pool last night...I apparently thought that the elevator was a fine time to get Suzi's opinion on the matter. So...I lifted up my little coverup...swimsuit fully in tact underneath, just in time for the doors to open and the boys to get a good view. Suzi doubled over in fits of laughter, only to find that we had gotten out on the wrong floor after all of that.
Ok...back to what I was saying...which is not nearly as exciting, but I think you all should know. After we ate, we drove over to see Jason's apartment and walked around looking at some nearby rentals. Then of course, we had to go explore the mall of America. You have to do it once I guess...even if you never go back due the overwhelming-ness of it all.
Suzi purchased a fabulous dress! Don't worry, you will get to see it when we are all dolled up for Phantom next week. It's fabulous, truly. That was the most exciting thing that happened there....until our dear Suzi ventured out on her own in search of the bathroom. I may not let her wander off anymore, as left to her own devices she finds random pools of vomit on the bathroom floor and slips on them. By now most of you have probably read about this on facebook. Honestly, I think she should have at least demanded a new pair of shoes from the MOA management....or gone further and rolled around in it, maybe even beat herself up a bit and sued! Then we could really have a good vacation. I should have been there to take pictures...but alas, she had wandered off on her own.
We ended the day at the Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown. I don't really know what this is...but I guess it's a cute little area by the U of M. It was a fabulous place that reminded me a little of Harry Potter, crooked looking bricks up the walls, and wonderful things to look at all around. There was a live band for entertainment purposes as well.
No pics today, we were a little distracted. We will be better travelers tomorrow, we promise.
Off to bed now. Hasta Manana

Don't tell Lisa v.3
I was wondering how this move would affect Lisa...would she get a funky new hair doo? Would she pick up the northern vowel shift (thanks Eric)? She now swears like a trucker and her very favorite word starts with an F. Very alarming, I know. On the look out for more behavior issues - I may have to CALL SOMEONE.
Also, when she gets very excited about..say, a goat in the road, she will plow over whatever is in her path to be the first in line to get a picture. This includes small children and large groups of Japanese tourists. I am pretty sure she made the local news in Yellowstone but they did not publish her name. whew.
